Pint Defiance Seattle Beer Week 2015 Marathon, May 7th through the 17th

In celebration of arguably the best week of the year, Pint Defiance is tapping up over 4 dozen delicious and fresh Washington beers from over 30 different breweries, and we are issuing a challenge. Just as there are 26 miles in a marathon, drink 26 of these local brews and you’ll receive an exclusive race shirt designed just for this event. And just like running a marathon, pacing and time management are important; We’ll be tapping up kegs throughout the 11 days of Seattle Beer Week. Only certain beers will be available on certain days, so keep an eye on our facebook page for notifications on new keg tappings (like us/follow us if you haven’t already at facebook.com/PintDefiance, and join the Marathon under the “events” link). How do I start?

Registration will open on May 7th; come in to Pint Defiance on or after that date to collect your marathon card and start earning punches. You are responsible for your card, so don’t lose it. And don’t forget to stretch.

How do I get my card punched?

Between May 7th and May 17th, order a pint or growler fill of any of the 10 Washington draft beers or ciders on tap daily. Present your marathon card and we’ll mark it for you. Keep an eye on your heart rate.

What if I doubt I can go the distance?

If you are more of the half marathon type, collect 10 beers and get a limited edition coozie (limit 1 per person).

You may also recruit a friend to help to complete a single full card, as long as you’re willing to share the prize. Also, our weekly Sunday Samplers will feature all Washington beers, and each sampler counts as 4 punches. We believe in you!

What happens when I cross the finish line?

Once you collect 26 punches, fill out the back of the card with your name and shirt size, and you’ll be entered into the record books as one of the handful of recipients of a super-duper classy, one-of-a-kind Pint Defiance Seattle Beer Week Marathoner shirt (Shirts are printed on demand and may take up to 3 weeks for delivery).  Wear it proudly.
